Well while there are many other people out
there who work at home sewing as a sahm like myself, many of us make the much loved
Taggie Blanket! Which I prefer to call mine "Tickle Blankets" I am in full support of other mums who sew to help earn themselves a bit of
money but why should you buy my "Tickle Blankets?" and other Tickle Items...
Well I am
proud to say I am the FIRST person in Australia who makes all my tag toys
with Non-Loops! This is to ensure the safety of little fingers from
being twisted into the ribbons and getting their fingers stuck! I have
heard of little ones getting their finger twisted and their poor finger
turning red :( When they are little its hard for them to know what to do
to help themselves so to ensure this does not happen with my cuddly
toys I make ALL my tags Non-Looped.
I ensure that all tags are
sewen into fabric numerous times and I have a particular way I sew the
tags in, it even makes them really difficult for me to unpick so they
are pretty secure! Not only that but I also heat seal BOTH ends
(outside and inside the fabric) so that they won't fray. You won't see
the tag on the inside but I do heatseal that end aswell.
My
cuddlies are suitable for NB+ and I have many toddlers also who love
them.
1 tip for newborn babies is the mum can carry the cuddly
down her top for a while and give the cuddly her scent and then give it
to the baby to help them feel secure.
The tags on the cuddly/toy
help towards babys tacticle developement. They love to look at the
colourful tags and learn to grasp them. They also become a comforter /
security item and are handy to take everywhere :)
